The Dresser materials comprise one thick "Memory Book," plus several small diaries, financial records and address booklets. The Memory Book is green, 6 X 9 1/4, and includes pasted-in items within the first half, leaving the second half blank. The items are Christmas cards, invitations, commencement programs, and literary society programs. Scope and Contents
The Nora Emily Kellogg diary is written within a booklet inscribed as "National Safe Deposit Company, First National Bank Building, Chicago." The black book measures 2 3/4 X 5 1/2. Within are printed maps of the U.S. and columns for financial transactions. Miss Kellogg uses the interior primarily for citing books read and class notes.
