Biographical Statement

Martha Meter, born May 1st, 1915, graduated from Wheaton College in 1937 with a BA in Christian Education. Her scrapbooks reveal an efficient, friendly personality who fully participated in campus social events. She sang in the Woman's Glee Club, and dormed at Maranatha House, where she participated in the Wednesday night prayer meeting. Following her graduation, she was married to Dr. Wilbur Mitchell Franklin. They lived together in Laguna Hills, CA. While Martha's date of death is unknown, her husband died in 1988.

Scope and Contents The hinged cover of this scrapbook, inscribed as "Scraps," are made of blond decorative wood, measuring 7 X 9. "Scraps" features the memories of Miss Mary Meter of Northville, NY, '37.
