Biographical Statement
Retired as Professor of English at SUNY Stony Brook, where he helped to arrange Barfield's time there as a visiting professor in 1974. The author of two published essays on Barfield's poetry, "C. S. Lewis and the Poetry of Owen Barfield" and "The Defiant Lyricism of Owen Barfield," he co-edited, with Jeanne Clayton Hunter, A Barfield Sampler.
