David Coomes's accomplishments include serving as Editor of The Church of England Newspaper and as Senior Producer in BBC's Religious Department. He was a recipient of the Clyde S. Kilby research grant for his research for the book Dorothy L. Sayers: A Careless Rage for Life (Oxford: Lion, 1992).
