Biographical Statement

Ms. Mary Ruth Howes (born, ca. 1931) graduated from Wheaton College in 1953 with a B.A. in Literature and in 1957 with an M.A. in Bible Literature. She retired in 1996 as a freelance editor after an almost 40 year career in publishing. She worked with Guideposts Books in New York City and Abingdon Press in Nashville, among others. She is a lay leader in the Methodist Church and participated in an archaeological dig at Tel Zeitah in Israel, sponsored by the Pittsburgh Theological Seminary in 1999. She currently resides in Penney Farms, FL.
