Biographical Statement

Geraldine Cynthia Kellogg Dresser attended Wheaton College from 1898-1909, graduating with a B.A. Other studies during the period English, Art, Prep-Classical, Literary, Classical and Conservatory. She was born May 5, 1885 to Henry Lyman Kellogg of White Pigeon, MI and Nora Emily (Blanchard) of Galesburg, IL and daughter of Wheaton College founder, Jonathan Blanchard. She was the seventh of her parents eleven children. On October 15, 1912 she married Amos Dresser, IV (d. 3/13/1957) in Wheaton. Together they had six children and lived in her Grandfather Blanchard's house at 107 N. President Street for over 50 years. She attended the College Church of Christ near Wheaton's campus. She died December 24, 1963 in Oxford, Ohio.

Scope and Contents The Dresser materials comprise one thick "Memory Book," plus several small diaries, financial records and address booklets. The Memory Book is green, 6 X 9 1/4, and includes pasted-in items within the first half, leaving the second half blank. The items are Christmas cards, invitations, commencement programs, and literary society programs.
