Biographical Statement

Harriet Crawford Hone (born, ca. 1922) graduated from Wheaton College in 1944 with a B.A. in Literature. Hone served as Parliamentarian for the Ladosian Literary Society, and was a member of the Christian Council, which managed Christian activities emanating from campus. She was also a member of the Women's Athletic Association (W.A.A.). She retired from a career as a Jr. High School teacher with the Yacaipa Unified School District in California. She currently resides in Redlands, CA.

Scope and Contents

The Harriet Crawford Hone ('44) scrapbook is green, measuring 10 1/4 x 14. The first page features paste-in photos of Blanchard Hall and V. Raymond Edman (whose 1941 inauguration program is attached later in the book). Following are photos and items from her freshman year, 1940-41. Most of the images are identified with the names of the participants. Included are invitations, holiday greeting cards, recital and play programs, and commencement exercises.
