From his evangelistic tour Kenneth sent Margaret a Siamese cat, which she had been wanting to have since the Landons arrived in Siam. They named it Leander, and it grew to be a lovely cat. Margaret tells of when Leander fell into a well on their compound and went missing for more than a week. Eventually they found and saved Leander. The cat died by poisoning at age four or five.
