The diary volumes are arranged by date. One notebook about plants was removed, as well as a document of class schedules from Godolphin School. The notebook was added to the Dorothy L. Sayers manuscript collection (see DLS / MS-436), and the school schedule was added to the Wade Center memorabilia collection.

This collection contains a series of diaries (personal day planners) belonging to Dorothy L. Sayers. The entries record social engagements, theatre work, festivals, Detection Club dinners, other club and committee meetings, talks to societies and guilds, BBC meetings, restaurants, bell ringing, some writing work, and various other appointments. Some diaries include telephone numbers as well.

The material in this archive was acquired at auction from Sotheby’s in London by the Wade Center in 2000. The original Sotheby’s lot included in this archive is Lot 300, ii.
