This archive contains printed material (maps, guides, pamphlets, brochures, postcards, photographs, articles and tourism materials) pertaining to UK and European locations related to the Wade Center authors.

Abstract
This archive contains printed material (maps, guides, pamphlets, brochures, postcards, photographs, articles and tourism materials) pertaining to UK and European locations related to the Wade Center authors.
Arrangement Note
There are 8 series in the Location File Archive: C.S. Lewis, G.K. Chesterton, J.R.R. Tolkien, Dorothy L. Sayers, George MacDonald, Charles Williams, General Information on Locations and Photographs. Series 1-6: Arranged by Wade author, then alphabetically by location. Series 7: Contains general information on locations related to multiple authors, arranged alphabetically by location. Series 8: Contains photographs and slides related to multiple Wade authors, arranged in sub-series by author’s name, then alphabetically by location. Photos which were taken after 1980, excluding those taken during Owen Barfield’s lifetime, may be considered to be added to the Location File rather than the regular author photos collection.
The oversized photograph folders are stored in the same drawer with the rest of the archive, lying flat. Digital scans of some of these photos have been made. Ask staff for further details.
