Rose Hines audio tape collection.
Content Description
Approximately 1100 audio cassettes (most recorded off-air) of evangelistic and teaching messages, sermons and music which comprised a lending-library service the Hines offered in their community. The messages on doctrine and Christian life are by various people, among which the most predominant are: James Kennedy, Jerry Falwell, Charles Stanley, Billy Graham, Francis Schaeffer, Ben Haden, Les Someral, John Ankerberg, Adrian Rogers, R. Compton, Robert Shuller, and Jack Van Impe. The original collection exceeded 1200 tapes, but the Archives received only the major portion of this. (The number assigned by the Hines on the first tape received by the Archives is #25, concluding with #1448; most tapes up to #100 are missing, as are most in the #700s; there are about 100 unnumbered tapes at the end of the series.) Some of the tapes are dated but many are not; the range appears to be from the late 1960s or early 1970s to the late 1980s. Included is a catalog of the tapes identifying speakers and topics. Tapes are stored in numerical order in archival box lids. Language: English.
