Raymond Osuchukwu Adonai was interviewed by Bob Shuster on March 12 and April 19, 2010 in the offices of the Billy Graham Center Archives and in Rev. Adoani’s home.

Biographical Information

Full name: Raymond Okebaram (Osuchukwu) Adonai

Birth: April 1, 1965 in Owerri, Nigeria of the Ibo people

Family:

Parents: Nelson and Antonia Osuchukwu. Father was a pastor

Siblings: Four brothers, four sisters

Marital Status: Married Rosemondeff Mbaegbu on September 24 & 29, 2001 (civil and church weddings)

Conversion: November 8, 1981, through the Scripture Union Fellowship in his school

Ordination: April 1996 ordained to student ministry; was ordained by God’s Church in Christ, Poland in May 2001; In May 2005 his church, the Victory in Jesus Church Lodz, Poland, was officially registered by the ministry of Internal Affairs, listing Osuchukwu as pastor

Education:

1980-1982 - Government Secondary School, Owerri, Nigeria. Graduated with a General Certificate of Education (GCE) O’level

1984-1985 - Mbieri Secondary School, Mbieri, Nigeria. Graduated with a GCE O’level

1987-1988 - Six months language school in Lodz, Poland

1988-1993 - Wroclaw University of Technology, Wroclaw, Poland. Graduated with a M.Sc. in Engineering, with a specialization in Road Construction. Attended on a scholarship award from the Nigerian Federal Ministry of Education

2009-2011 - Wheaton College Graduate School, Wheaton, Illinois, USA. Graduated with a MA in Biblical Studies

Career:

1986-1987 - Saving clerk and cashier at the Progress Bank Nigerian Ltd. In Amakohia, Nigeria

?-1987 - In Mbieri, Nigeria, one of the early leaders of the Evangelical Fellowship in Anglican Communion, Nigeria (EFAC)and evangelism secretary of the Scripture Union. Also preached by invitation occasionally in his home church

1994 - Six months profession practice with the PHU “BUDOTRAKT” construction company as a site engineer

1995-2005 - Coordinator of International Students for the Christian Students Association of Poland (a member of the International Fellowship of Evangelical Students) in first in Wroclaw, then in Lodz, Poland

2004-? - Missionary work aimed at church planting, which resulted in the founding of Victory in Jesus Church, Lodz, Poland of God’s Church I Christ, Poland which he served as pastor

2007 - Founded a branch Victory in Jesus church in Wroclaw, Poland

Other significant information:

Father died when he was seven; mother became the breadwinner in the family as well as raising the eight children
