Marital Status: Married to Salwa Sobhi

Conversion: At a Christian camp at the age of 8, a deeper commitment at age of 16

  • 1976. Graduated from Helwan University of Cairo, Egypt, with a degree in Business Administration
  • 1987. Graduated the Evangelical Seminary of Cairo, Egypt
  • 1994. Graduated for Wheaton College Graduate School with a degree in Communications

  • 1977. Worker with Youth with a Mission (YWAM)
  • 1978-1980. Worker with Campus Crusade Egypt and helped establish the Here’s Life Cairo training center
  • 1981-1986. Youth worker with the Zeitoun Evangelical Church, part of the student ministry of the Council of Christian education of the Evangelical Church
  • 1987-1989. Research and training programs with AWSF and the International Service Center
  • 1990-1994. Student worker with the Council of Christian Education, Synod of the Nile
  • 1993. Christian education coordinator in Dr. Menes Abdul Noor’s Kasr el-Dobara Presbyterian Church in Cairo
