Brochures (Japan)
Scope and Contents
The records of Christian Camping International provide a good overview of the administrative workings of the organization in its first forty years. The legal and organizational structure are documented in the first series.
Correspondence and reports for CCI’s two earliest executive directors are housed in the collection providing highlights of the organization’s leadership.
The International Operations series provides a look into the growth of CCI into an international organization. This series contains general files, minutes, correspondence and conference and convention materials.
One of the largest portions of the collection documents the international divisions. Roughly four linear feet of files contain files on divisions in the global south (e.g. Australia, Brazil, Asia-Pacific, Latin America, the Philippines and Southern Africa). The US division is also documented in one linear foot.
The publications of CCI are also documented in the collection measuring nearly three linear feet.
Two latter accessions, though exhibiting files from various series, were retained as a single series: Topical and Vincent Craven files. The Topical files are evenly split between correspondence and reports on finances or meetings. The Craven files contain correspondence with a wide-range of international divisions.
