When the movie came out, Margaret says she was in bed with rheumatic fever. Kenneth says he didn't see the movie either. Will interjects that at that time, he was going to Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois. It was the fall of 1946. He knew that once he signed the pledge at Wheaton, he wouldn't be able to see the movie. So, Will routed his ticket so that he went via New York, where he would have to change trains.
