Summary Note
The Theatre Guild was a powerful organization. Margaret and Kenneth belonged to it and always bought four tickets to the plays, to which they would take guests. Margaret was coming up the stairs from the basement with a pail of diapers when the telephone rang. It was Teresa Helburn speaking. She had read the book and was calling to find out who represented Margaret. Kenneth says that Margaret didn't have an agent at that time, but Margaret insists that she did, The William Morris Agency. Her agent was Helen Strauss. This was something else Muriel Fuller did for Margaret, referring her to Helen, whom she knew. (Length 4:44)
