Lucille Swanson Scrapbook
Scope and Contents
The Lucille Swanson scrapbook is black, its hinges bound with a white leather strip. It measures 16 1/2 x 12 1/2, and features the Wheaton College crest embossed on its cover. The first pages are inscribed with names and addresses of classmates. The next section features black and white photos of students and campus scenes, with a few images showing trips to Washington, DC, Los Angeles, and a Senior Sneak to Turkey Run State Park, Indiana. The remainder of the book includes paste-ins of invitations, programs, tickets, articles and colorful decorations. Booklets promoting the Art Institute of Chicago and Hotel Baker of St. Charles, IL, are also displayed. It concludes with a section showing congratulatory cards sent to Swanson upon her graduation from Wheaton College, and other holiday greetings.
