Scope and Contents This five-year, green-pebbled clasped diary measures 4 X 5. The anonymous female diarist begins her entries on Jan. 1, 1935, and writes irregularly until Dec. 31, 1936. The entries, featuring her daily functions at home and school, are routine, chronicling such activities as sleighing, homework, church attendance, shopping, tennis playing, instrument practice, etc... Many pages are blank.

Scope and Contents Measuring 3 x 4 1/2, the Gordon L. Rhoad diary is black and flexible, embossed with "Lett's Quikref Diary." Entries run from Jan. 1, 1924 to October 9, 1924. Under the column called "Owner's Name and Address" on the Personal Memoranda page is written, "Gordon L. Rhoad, Mbooni Machakos, Kenya Colony, Africa." The entries chronicle his daily life, travels and occasional missionary activity in the U.S., Kenya and Europe.
