Scope and Contents Newspaper clippings, oral history interviews, correspondence, diary, photos, scrapbooks and other materials relating to the passengers, mainly American missionaries, who were aboard the ship ZamZam, sunk in the south Atlantic Ocean in 1941 by a German warship.

Materials describe the sinking, the subsequent experiences of the passengers as German prisoners, their later lives and reunions of the survivors and their families.
