Scope and Contents Dr. Arthur Ammann ’58 was a zoology major at Wheaton. He is a pediatric immunologist who has done extensive research in pediatrics and HIV/AIDS in children and who, in 1982, first described two of the three known means of HIV transmission—mothers to infants and through blood transfusions. He also diagnosed the first children with HIV infection.
