Scope and Contents

The Nellie Straw (1904) scrapbook is composed of stiff black construction paper, now completely dis-attached from its binding. The "scraps" are glued directly onto the cover, and filling every page for the remainder of the book. Items include holiday cards, poems, notes to friends, invitations to recitals and literary society functions, drawings. In addition are various Wheaton College publications, such as financial reports, rulebooks and commencement programs. It measures 14 x 11.

Scope and Contents The Vachel Lindsay collection is organized into seven series: Biographical, Publications (with Books, Article and Poetry sub-series), Correspondence, Manuscript Material (with Poems sub-series), Lectures, Secondary, and Photographs. The bulk of the collection is located in the published and manuscript poetry series.
