Collection of letters written primarily by Robert Holmes and his wife, Frances (Frannie) to their families in the United States, while they served as missionaries with the American Board of Commissioners for Foreign Missions in Sri Lanka from 1947 to 1960. A few of the letters are from the children, Bobby and Carol Lou, to their grandparents, and there are a few letters sent to the Holmes family. (The originals were retained by the donor.)
